The Dude No Longer Abides

Since the last update, one of my favorites got discontinued. I'm guessing it might have had to do with being suspiciously familiar to the "Dude Vinci" design over at Dudeism.com. Too bad too, since the one in the Dudeism.com store doesn't have the all-to-critical "The Dude Abides" caption, so it's just not as cool somehow. Oh well.

Cooling Down For The Summer

Maybe I'm not keeping my eyes open or something, but there haven't seemed to be as many cool t-shirts coming out. Fortunately, I happened upon krisvahl's site recently, and found his birDog shirt. He's got a lot of other excellent designs too - check him out!

The Humble Retire, Back To Work

[Graphic of "The Most Humble Person On Earth" (in big, colorful and showy graphics, of course!) no longer available, sadly, due to the demise of TorsoPants...]
We have our first casualty, sad to say. For whatever reason, TorsoPants has decided to discontinue this humble yet lovable t-shirt design. Hopefully it will return one day, and restore its position on my list!
Of course, a replacement is needed, stat!

Let's Hear It For The Old Dudes!

Only one new entry this time. Fortunately, it has nothing to do with Guitar Hero, but it is music-related, entitled Rock & Roll. You can tell by looking at these guys that, even though they're geezers, they still know how to party. And they're up for action any time. As long as it doesn't interrupt their nap.

Yet another quality entry from Tom Burns and LuckyThreadz!

On To Page 2!

Eight new entries were recently added, too many to list all of them here, but enough to warrant starting a second Quest page. I will mention that they came from a variety of sources, including Olliver Moss, David Habben, Steven E. Hughes, Andy Gonsalves, Glenn Jones (all from the Threadless collection), TorsoPants, and T-shirt Hell.

Beware the Ninja-neer!

At a dinner with some old friends the other night, one of them said something about "an engineer". Despite the fact that I was sitting right next to her, somehow I heard "a ninja-neer", and even though I immediately realized my mistake, the idea of the ninja-neer struck me as a great idea. Well, many of those great ideas I stumble upon eventually end up as t-shirts, and this one was no exception!

2 New Shirts, And A New Sister (Store)

Guitar Hero T-shirt
I found this one at a new (to me, anyway!) shop called J!NX Clothing. They have a pretty good selection of gaming- and nerd/geek-related clothing there, and it's entirely possible that another selection from that site may find its way onto "the list" one day too! Could it be that I'm just a sucker for shirts with a Guitar Hero theme? Nah...

Just a minor update

CMYK Skulls
There are a couple of new entries, this one by Spin Sugar, one of the newer Zazzlers. She's got a lot of nice stuff, check out her shop!

Silence Is Golden
I found this one on CafePress, where I've recently opened up an annex store. So far, only one product there, but more may follow.

Check out the new video!

I've put together a video to showcase some of my products:

Also, I've made another entry into The Quest page, and I'm now nearly ready to start a second page (ultimately, there will be 3 in all). I continue to find good sources for t-shirts on various sites across the web. One particularly invaluable resource is the T-shirt Forums, which I joined just this week. Anyone wanting to find out nearly anything about t-shirts should go here first. The amount of information they have there is vast, and I'm quite impressed at the community of t-shirt designers, manufacturers, and just plain aficionados.

The First Replacement

It had to happen sooner or later. One shirt dropped for another. Today is that day.

I Do All My Own Stunts shirt

I've always liked the I Do My Own Stunts t-shirt (as worn on occasion by Adam Savage of the MythBusters TV show). It looks pretty much exactly like this one, if I remember correctly.
I Do All My Own Stunts shirt
However, in my Quest wanderings, I happened upon this alternate version, from T-Shirts.com. It's the flames, I admit - they make it just that much cooler.

Ten New Shirts Added

I've put in 10 new shirts I found at various places on the web, including Nerdy Shirts, Contempl8 T-shirts, Crack Smoking Shirts, Lucky Threadz, and ThreadPit. Oh, and one more of my design, and one as submitted by my old buddy Anonymous (who is no longer so anonymous, eh Retro?)

Huzzah! A contribution!

As was correctly pointed out by my long-time bud Anonymous (if that is your real name :)), the link to the FAQ is in fact on the left, not on the right as I claimed. This bit of misinformation has now been fixed in my previous post.

As a side note, perhaps I have stumbled upon the formula for getting feedback; just screw something up!

Just the FAQs, ma'am

OK, just a quick update - the FAQ is now created (link to the left). I've included questions I expect to be asked, as I still haven't received any indication that anyone has viewed this blog. Not known, not worth reading, not worth commenting on - it's hard to know.

Still no FAQ, but the form is up

Yep, got ambitious - the FAQ still needs to be written, but there is now a form in place for submitting potential entries. It's at the very bottom of the "100 best" page (which is linked on the top left of this page, of course). OK, so where are those throngs of interested and helpful cohorts I was counting on?

Hello? (tap, tap, tap) Is this thing on?

The List Is Born

I've put in the first 9 entries now, and the list is "live" at http://www.wildkidz.com/Quest. Not much more to add at this point, really. The promised FAQ will probably be the next addition, unless I really get ambitious and craft a form to make it easy for people to submit ideas. So far, that's not been a real problem - it's really quiet out there. I'm hoping that the reason for this is that the site is so young, and not that I come off so arrogant that I've been ignored! Nah, that couldn't be it...

"The Quest" Begins... Sorta

I don't really consider myself a blogger, yet here I am! This is not about sounding off about my idea(l)s or anything, it's intended more as a web-wide project. You see, I'm a T-shirt kinda guy. Ask anyone who knows me at all, and they'll tell you that it is rare to see me in anything other than a T-shirt. They'll also tell you that I have a very eclectic taste in T-shirts. I don't own a single Nike swoosh, or any other logo- or store name-only type of shirt. Bo-ring.
